General Kitchen Helper (Full-Time) - Ken's Diner

The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a General Kitchen Helper to join our Ken’s Diner team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide general kitchen support duties under the direction of the Head Chef.

What you’ll do:
  • Support kitchen staff with general duties and food service.
  • Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment.
  • Receive and store food deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness: wipe surfaces, polish stainless steel, sweep and mop floors.
  • Dispose of garbage and recycle cardboard.
  • Assist with plating, portioning, and clearing during meal service.
Qualifications:
  • One (1) year experience in food industry is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with WHMIS, safety, and sanitation preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills; friendly and respectful with residents and staff.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
