This is a full-timeshift position at our Terra Losa location. Position Summary: The Third Cook is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. The Third Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. Third Cook must be prepared to work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a kitchen environment.

What You Bring to the Role:
One (1) year experience working in a similar setting required.
Basic Food Safety required.
Knowledge of safety, sanitation, WHMIS, Food Safety
Familiar with use of kitchen equipment and hand tools
Possess proper knife skills
Ability to follow recipes
Ability to Prep food items according to production lists and menu requirements.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Professional appearance and manners.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Your Responsibilities:
Prepares food within menu guidelines.
Prepares and plates cold foods such as fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, desserts and salads.
Use of the Rational Oven for food preparation.
Ensures that the safety, sanitation, order and appearance of the kitchen is in compliance with all standards directed by regulatory agencies.
Assists the Head chef / First Cook and cooks in preparation and serving banquets, brunches, meetings and other special events.
Assists with washing dishes and taking out garbage in the absence of General Kitchen Helpers.
Assist with the delivery of resident meals.
Stay productive and prepared for future needs as time allows.
Assist with receiving and putting away incoming food orders.
